But hey, the fact that Casas del Bosque winery was founded in 1993 – quite new, especially when compared to the various centenarian wineries dotting Chile´s valleys – should not be off-putting to you. In fact, this is a Chilean winery that despite its young age it already collects prizes and recognition for its fine white wines, its Syrah varietal, the exquisite Restaurant Tanino and its popular tours.

As for Casas del Bosque winery tours, the difference between them lay mainly on the wine tasting at the end of the guided walk through the winery grounds, cellars, and museum. The duration of these tours, which last between 30 mins to 70 mins, will also provide the tourists with a more or less in-depth speech from the guide. There are 5 different tours available in Casas del Bosque winery, offering an option to all kinds of interests travellers might have in the world of winemaking. Winery Tour

The Winery Tour tour is a good choice particularly for tourists who have visited other Chilean wineries prior to Casas del Bosque. This is a very concise circuit that lasts no more than 35-40 minutes. It costs clp 7.000 per person and displays the highlights of the winery. This tour, however, does not include wine tasting; being appropriate for parents travelling with their young kids and a great activity to do before lunch, which will help whet your appetite for the exquisite meals served at the on-sight Restaurant Tanino. Just get yourself organised and book your tour with an English speaking guide before lunch hours, by sending an email to turismo@casasdelbosque.cl, with at least 48 hours notice. Moreover, don´t forget to book a table at Restaurant Tanino via the email:  reservas@casasdelbosque.cl. The restaurant opens at 12:00 hours and closes at 16:30 hours.

Aromas Wine Tour

Similar to the tour we mentioned previously, the Aromas Wine Tour also consists of a guided walk through the vineyards, a visit to the production area and the cellars. This tour spans out for 50 minutes, costs CLP 12,500 per person and offers servings of 2 Reserve and 2 Gran Reserve wines for the tasting. The wine tasting at Casas del Bosque Winery can take place at the 242 Aromas Bar, in the tasting room or at any other beautiful area. This depends, however, on availability and the weather. Mirador Tour

The Mirador Tour itinerary at Casas del Bosque Winery is exactly the same as the other tours, nevertheless, in this tour, the major difference is where the tasting (3 wines) is held: at the winery´s viewpoint. This is a little piece of heaven where the landscape seems like those of a fairy tale. During the warmer months of the year, the tasting takes place under a shady centenary tree. On this spot, in the warmer months, you can even smell the Pacific Ocean. It is very romantic! This tour lasts approximately 2 hours and costs CLP 28,000 per person. Wine Tasting at Casas del Bosque Winery

If you are the kind of tourist who can easily be called a “wine lover” and have already visited other wineries during your holiday in Chile, maybe the best option for you is to skip the tour and dive straight into the wine tasting.

There are three options of wine tastings on offer at Casas del Bosque Winery: The Aromas Wine Tasting, which serves 2 Reserve and 2 Gran Reserve wines for CLP 7,500 per person and the Premium Wine Tasting for CLP 9,500 per person; they both take place at the 242 Aromas Bar at the winery.
