Mall Alto Las Condes

Mall Alto Las Condes is one of the largest and most high-end malls in Santiago. Located on Avenue President Kennedy 9001, it is in the heart of the large, eastside community of Las Condes. It is not easily accessed by metro, but several buses go straight to it. You can also take a taxi from Los Dominicos, the very end of Metro Line 1. It is still going to be a bit of a lengthy ride, so make sure you bring enough cash for the return trip. Nonetheless, many visitors like how tranquil and rarely crowded this mall is, it being closer to the outskirts of the city.

The mall is open from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily, with some larger stores and attractions having their own hours. Among these are the Chilean superstore and department store chains such as Jumbo, Easy, Paris, and Falabella. The Cinemark theater is also a popular destination, showing first-run films with the option of watching English-language movies either dubbed or subtitled in Spanish. Seeing a movie on your trip to Chile is an easy way to relax and familiarize yourself with Spanish.

The stores featured here include some of most popular brands in the world, such as Steve Madden and Bobbi Brown and the large fashion store Top Shop. However, Mall Alto Las Condes in no way specializes in apparel. There are plenty of home and electronic stores, and more interesting niche shops as well. There are stores that specialize in tea, coffee, wine, spirits, or tobacco. Music stores and photography resources are also fun destinations. You can change money at Upsilon on the first floor. Like any other mall, this is a prime place to take care of errands. There are several pharmacies throughout, and tourist resources such as LAN Airlines and Tur Bus.

Mall Alto Las Condes houses some of the best upscale restaurants in Santiago. Options include the Caprese for Italian food, El Otro Sitio for Peruvian, Majestic for Indian, and Oliva Límon for Mediterranean. Several casual-dining Chilean chains are also located throughout the mall and in the Food Court. There are even some U.S. restaurant chains such as Johnny Rockets and Ruby Tuesdays.

There are even group exercise classes on the patio several times a week.
