    Across the street from Estación Central this Ibis Hotel sits in one of the busiest, loudest neighbourhoods of Chile´s capital. This is the ideal spot for a one night stay prior to taking the train or bus. Due to its proximity to a number of universities this is also a prime location in Santiago for student demonstrations, which although do not affect the metro it often causes traffic problems and ends with the police having to control the mob.

    The hotel offers 3 different kinds of bedroom to accommodate comfortably all kinds of travellers. There is free Wi-Fi signal and cable TV in the bedrooms. For an extra fee, clients can help themselves to a buffet breakfast served from 4:00 o´clock to 11:00 o´clock in the morning. At the hotel´s restaurant Café Vino & Cia clients can choose their meals from an extensive menu displaying dishes featuring international cuisine elements.

    A great attraction for children near the hotel is Fatasilandia, for a more cultural encounter take the metro and stop at La Moneda, where places filled with Chilean history and culture are ubiquitous. At Estación Central there is a number of fast food eateries, supermarket and cash machines. This is, however, an area where tourists should away beware of their belongings as petty thievery thrives in this neighbourhood all day long. Moreover, it is not recommended to browse this vicinity at night time.
